Position: Sales Manager - MICE

Role Overview: As the Sales Manager for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE), you will spearhead new business initiatives and manage existing accounts across our three London properties: Melia White House, Melia London Kensington, and ME London. You will play a crucial role in executing the MICE sales strategy to achieve the objectives outlined in the Business Plan for each hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the MICE sales strategy to align with the Business Plan goals for each hotel.
  • Collaborate with fellow sales team members on various sales initiatives, including site visits, familiarization trips, presentations, and outreach efforts.
  • Enhance the company’s reputation while staying informed about competitors and industry trends by participating in events organized by Chambers of Commerce and relevant associations.
  • Meet or exceed the annual budget targets for the MICE segment, focusing on room sales and average room rates through increased account acquisition and event bookings.
  • Manage relationships with key MICE agencies in the London market through proactive engagement, including familiarization trips and networking events.
  • Analyze incoming requests and conversion rates, developing strategies to attract more business based on market insights.
  • Maintain and update the database to ensure the FOCUS System reflects the most current information.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience in 4-star or 5-star hotel environments.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings and conferences.
  • Familiarity with the FOCUS system is preferred.
