About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Director MICE to join our team at Meliá Hotels International. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new business development and account management for our MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to meet the objectives defined in the Business Plan for each hotel, focusing on the MICE segment.
  • Support other sales team members in sales actions, including show rounds, FAM trips, presentations, reports, and other projects.
  • Enhance the Company's image and stay abreast of the competition, new developments, and industry trends.
  • Achieve and/or exceed the annual budget approved in the Business Plan (MICE segment) for the Cluster hotels in terms of room sales and ARR through an increase in the number of accounts/events and in the sales of event rooms, banquets, audio services, and other revenues related to MICE.
  • Account manage MICE Agencies relevant to the London Market through proactive activity, including Fam Trips, roadshows, lunch and learns, and appointments.
  • Analyze the requests received and the percentage conversion, and define new actions to attract more business based on the results and a market analysis.
  • Update, manage, and control the database to ensure that the available information in the FOCUS System is as up-to-date as possible.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Sales in 4*/5* Hotels.
  • Other languages.
  • Ability to travel for meetings and conferences.
  • Knowledge of FOCUS system.
