Position: Sales Manager - MICE
Objective: To spearhead new business initiatives for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) by managing a defined portfolio of accounts, while also overseeing the account management of existing MICE clients for our London hotels, including Melia White House, Melia London Kensington, and ME London. This role involves supporting the execution of the MICE sales strategy aligned with the business objectives for each hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the deployment of the MICE sales strategy for the assigned hotels to achieve the targets outlined in the Business Plan.
- Collaborate with fellow sales team members on various sales initiatives, including site visits, familiarization trips, presentations, and other promotional activities.
- Enhance the company's market presence by staying informed about competitors and participating in industry events, such as Chamber of Commerce meetings and networking with Meeting Planners.
- Meet or exceed the annual budget for the MICE segment across the cluster hotels, focusing on room sales and average room rate (ARR) through an increase in accounts and event bookings.
- Manage relationships with key MICE agencies in the London market through proactive engagement, including familiarization trips, roadshows, and networking events.
- Analyze incoming requests and conversion rates, implementing strategies to attract more business based on data-driven insights.
- Maintain and update the database to ensure accurate information is available in the FOCUS System.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in sales within 4 or 5-star hotels.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for meetings and conferences.
- Familiarity with the FOCUS system is advantageous.
