Position: Front of House Supervisor

Reports To: General Store Manager

Position Overview

As the Front of House Supervisor, you will take charge of your designated area, ensuring that service standards are consistently met while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Your role is pivotal in driving sales and profitability through effective upselling techniques and superior guest care. You will foster a positive and professional work environment that encourages guests to return to our establishment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

  • Manage and oversee the Front of House operations at a German Doner Kebab establishment.
  • Ensure that guest service aligns with company standards, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and take appropriate measures to resolve issues.
  • Guarantee that only the highest quality products are served to guests.
  • Organize Front of House duties and supervise staff to ensure satisfaction for both team members and guests.
  • Provide training and direction to team members through well-structured training programs aimed at enhancing guest service.
  • Evaluate team performance and offer constructive feedback to keep morale high and productivity strong.
  • Maintain inventory for the Front of House and analyze usage trends.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Promote and enhance the GDK brand effectively.
  • Foster a positive work atmosphere and lead by example.
  • Monitor Front of House operations and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Serve as duty manager on a rotational basis.
  • Conduct pre- and post-shift meetings with the Front of House team to communicate targets, share feedback, and relay business updates.
  • Take responsibility for the business performance of the Front of House.
  • Ensure operations align with GDK guidelines.
  • Investigate and address the root causes of guest complaints related to the Front of House.
  • Ensure all Front of House staff adhere to company uniform standards.
  • Welcome guests and manage table reservations.
  • Organize and supervise the shifts of dining and counter staff.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
  • Prepare cash drawers and manage petty cash as needed.
  • Assist in any Front of House role as required.
  • Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and a positive attitude within the work environment.
  • Complete daily reports at the end of each shift.
  • Participate in training and meetings as required by the company.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager based on business needs.
  • Collaborate with the General Store Manager to coordinate all aspects of Front of House operations.
  • Ensure stock storage areas and the Front of House are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Work with the Store Team to achieve tight stock control and budgeted margins.
  • Complete daily paperwork accurately.
  • Engage with customers to model exceptional guest care.
  • Lead by example in maintaining high standards of guest service.
  • Support team members during peak times and undertake any necessary operational duties to meet guest expectations.
  • Ensure the Front of House team is well-groomed and ready for work at all times.
  • Adhere to all legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business.
  • Possess a good understanding of all equipment and ensure preventative maintenance is performed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Front of House Supervisor position should demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong enthusiasm for teamwork. The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Proven experience as a Supervisor or Duty Manager in the Food Industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in guest service management.
  • Extensive knowledge of guest care practices.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and computer literacy.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Financial management capabilities.
