Position: Front of House Supervisor

Reports To: General Store Manager

Position Overview

As the Front of House Supervisor, you are the leader of your designated area, ensuring that service standards are consistently met while maintaining an inviting and clean environment. You will play a crucial role in driving sales and profitability by adhering to upselling practices and prioritizing guest satisfaction. Your leadership will foster a motivated team and a positive atmosphere that encourages guests to return to our establishment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

  • Manage and oversee the Front of House operations at a German Doner Kebab location.
  • Ensure that guest service aligns with company standards, achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and take necessary actions to resolve issues.
  • Guarantee that only the highest quality products are served to guests.
  • Organize the Front of House area and supervise staff to ensure satisfaction for both team members and guests.
  • Provide training and direction to team members through structured training programs to enhance guest service.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback to maintain motivation and productivity.
  • Monitor stock levels for the Front of House and analyze usage patterns.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Promote and enhance the GDK brand image.
  • Foster a positive work environment and lead by example.
  • Oversee Front of House operations and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Act as duty manager on a rotational basis.
  • Conduct pre- and post-shift meetings with the Front of House team to communicate objectives and share feedback.
  • Take responsibility for the Front of House business performance.
  • Ensure operations adhere to GDK guidelines.
  • Identify and address the root causes of guest complaints related to the Front of House.
  • Ensure all Front of House staff comply with uniform standards.
  • Welcome guests and manage table reservations.
  • Supervise dining and counter staff shifts.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and safety.
  • Prepare cash drawers and manage petty cash as necessary.
  • Assist in any Front of House role as required.
  • Encourage teamwork and a positive attitude within the workplace.
  • Complete daily reports at the end of each shift.
  • Participate in training and meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
  • Collaborate with the General Store Manager to manage all aspects of the Front of House.
  • Ensure stock storage areas and the Front of House are kept clean and organized.
  • Work with the Store Team to achieve tight stock control and budgetary goals.
  • Complete necessary paperwork daily.
  • Engage with customers to model exceptional guest care.
  • Lead by example in maintaining high standards of guest service.
  • Support team members during peak times and undertake any operational duties as needed.
  • Ensure the Front of House team is well-groomed and prepared for work.
  • Adhere to all legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all equipment and perform preventative maintenance.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Front of House Supervisor position should demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a passion for teamwork. Key qualifications include:

  • Proven experience as a Supervisor or Duty Manager in the food service industry.
  • Experience in managing guest services.
  • Strong knowledge of guest care principles.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and computer literacy.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Financial management capabilities.
