About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Auditor and Administration Support Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • To undertake comprehensive waste audits across all areas of the hospital, ensuring compliance with the National Health Technical Memorandum 07-01 Safe and Sustainable Management of Healthcare Waste.
  • To collect and analyze data from waste audits, and prepare detailed reports for the Waste Manager and other stakeholders.
  • To provide administrative support to the Waste Manager, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with colleagues and service users.
  • To work collaboratively with the Facilities Team and other departments to ensure effective waste management practices are implemented and maintained.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, and provide regular updates to the Waste Manager and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Good standards of general education, including GCSE English and Maths.
  • Knowledge of administration or clerical systems and processes.
  • Good use of IT systems, including Microsoft Office 365.
  • Previous experience of audit and waste management.
  • Awareness of HTM 07-01 Safe Management of Healthcare Waste.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and service users.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills.
