Job Description

West Northamptonshire Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Principal Regeneration Officer (Housing Delivery). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of major housing schemes and play a key role in shaping the future of our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on projects from inception to completion, including feasibilities, scheme development, development appraisals, and construction management of major housing developments.
  • Oversee and deliver complex capital projects, working on a range of housing schemes as allocated by the Head of Major Projects and Regeneration.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of key sites and projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including councillors, housing strategy team, and development partners/investors.
  • Ensure timely delivery of WNC's directly delivered capital projects and procure development partners/investors for development sites.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in housing development and regeneration, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Knowledge of local government policies and procedures, with a strong understanding of the council's vision and objectives.
