About the Role:

Principal People Recruitment is excited to announce an opportunity for a newly established Safety and Compliance Manager to join a leading organization in the Utilities and Civil Engineering sector, known for its diverse range of projects.

The appointed Safety and Compliance Manager will report directly to the Head of Safety and will be responsible for leading and nurturing a small team of Safety Advisors.

This role offers a unique chance for professionals looking to elevate their careers within the Utilities and Civil Engineering field while being part of a nationally recognized organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive Safety and Compliance guidance across various sites.
  • Oversee and mentor a small team of Safety Advisors.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management and the Head of Safety to formulate and execute the Safety and Compliance strategy for the organization.
  • Conduct thorough Safety and Compliance audits and inspections.
  • Promote a proactive Safety and Compliance culture throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction certificate or equivalent.
  • Company vehicle (Hybrid and Electric options) or Car allowance.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus Bank holidays.
  • Matched Pension Scheme.
  • Private Healthcare benefits.

This position is hybrid, requiring travel to various sites and offices, primarily within designated regions, with occasional national site visits.
