Job Summary:

GDi is seeking an experienced Inspection Operations Manager to lead our team in delivering ultra-efficient technology and safety-driven solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a series of activities performed by engineers and designers from various engineering disciplines to support the timely issuance of engineering and inspection deliverables that meet project specifications.
  • Collaborate with the inspection team and planning to establish project time schedules, set target completion dates, and ensure timely achievement of these targets.
  • Direct the preparation of technical inquiries to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers, and provide guidance in the evaluations.
  • Review client proposals and requirements, issue enquiries, prepare equipment, material, and man-hour estimates.
  • Coordinate the preparation of purchase orders for the procurement of equipment and materials.
  • Provide technical advice to GDi and its clients.
  • Develop manpower charts and schedules, recommend, assign, and distribute manpower for the execution of engineering and construction activities within budgeted project man-hours.
  • Participate in HAZOP meetings with clients and representatives of other engineering disciplines.

Requirements:

  • Vocational qualifications in inspection, engineering, or technical disciplines.
  • Ability to understand client requirements and proficient in scope definition through concept, FEED, detailed design, and support fabrication and construction.
  • Five years of relevant experience in the inspection of offshore plant and equipment (recognized plant inspection qualification, inspection/NDT qualifications preferred).
  • Foster positive and effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Sound time and resource management skills.
  • Cognizant of business requirements and needs and adaptable to changing environments and business requirements.
