Key Responsibilities

Objective

To serve as the primary inspection authority offshore, overseeing and managing all inspection operations. Conduct visual assessments of plant equipment as required, ensuring compliance with Oceaneering and client standards, strategies, and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities Include:

· Collaborate with the line manager to execute work scopes as outlined in client agreements.

· Evaluate defects and anomalies following Oceaneering and/or client procedures.

· Report directly to the Offshore Installation Manager regarding the coordination of all inspection activities.

· Coordinate with asset personnel to ensure the successful implementation of inspection activities, including equipment scheduling and availability.

· Conduct all agreed offshore inspections within the parameters of the Oceaneering issued authority letter, ensuring timely completion.

· Perform visual and NDT inspections as necessary.

· Provide recommendations for remedial actions and inspect subsequent repair work for approval.

· Generate inspection reports within established timelines using approved templates.

· Supervise Oceaneering personnel and third-party contractors while offshore, ensuring all parties comprehend the work scope and associated risks, and that tasks are completed as specified.

· Review and, where appropriate, endorse inspection reports completed by NDT Technicians or third-party personnel.

· Issue status reports as needed, including Daily, Handover, End of Trip, and Certificate of Examination.

· Participate in meetings and reviews as necessary, such as morning calls, planning sessions, and anomaly discussions.

· Maintain logs and update registers in accordance with Oceaneering and client procedures while offshore.

· Assist with tasks as directed by the Oceaneering onshore team or Client Integrity Engineer.

Required Qualifications

Desired Skills:

· HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or ONC/NVQ Level 3 (such as City & Guilds).

· A minimum of 10 years' experience in plant and equipment inspection.

· Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, codes/standards, materials, plant operations, and processes.

· ASME Plant Inspector Level 2 and/or API 510 & API 570 certifications.

· UKAS RG2 Category 3 compatibility.

· IRATA Rope Access Level 3 and NDT certifications in DPI, ECI, MPI, and UT 3.1 & 3.2.
