Structural Technician - required for your client based in Norwich, The ideal Structural Technician would have at least 3+ years' experience and be interested in working on projects up to 76m but predominantly projects in the 10m - 20m range. The Structural Technician will be interested in working on listed buildings, healthcare, Education and residential projects, The Structural Technician will be supported with ongoing professional development training through regular personal development days and an inhouse programmes.

Structural Technician Position Overview

  • Experience of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Collaborative, supportive and committed attitude
  • A proactive approach to challenges and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience of structural engineering drawings
  • Foundations, framed buildings, traditional buildings, conservation. experience of RC detailing would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of BIM standards and protocols

Structural Technician Position Requirements

  • Assisting and empowering a dynamic team of engineers and technicians dedicated to the success of projects.
  • Simultaneously managing multiple projects, ensuring each phase is executed punctually and upholds exceptional standards.
  • Proficiently working both autonomously and in collaboration with junior staff, providing meticulous oversight, including thorough examination of drawings.
  • Creating intricate drawings and sketches with mastery in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Delivering regular progress reports to Associates/Partners, fostering transparent communication.
  • Swiftly addressing technical and construction inquiries to maintain project momentum.
  • Actively participating in project and site meetings/inspections.
  • Expertly reviewing and offering insights on third-party designs and drawings to enhance project excellence.
