We are currently seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a robust background in civil engineering to enhance our team. This is an exceptional opportunity to take charge of high-value projects, ensuring they are executed with the utmost quality, safety, and within budgetary constraints.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse team of professionals, including Engineers, Works Managers, and Technicians.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while managing client expectations effectively.
  • Oversee project delivery, maintaining rigorous standards for Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality practices.
  • Ensure adherence to our Management Systems, with updated plans for Health & Safety, Environmental Management, and Quality Assurance.
  • Collaborate closely with the commercial team on Cost Value reporting and forecasting.
  • Administer projects in alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Support all activities with appropriate planning and Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Manage waste, lifting, and temporary works in compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site reporting and project scheduling.
  • Encourage a culture focused on meeting customer and stakeholder needs.
  • Champion innovation and value engineering initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience in managing civil engineering projects, particularly in areas such as highways, utilities, and structures.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Principal Contractor role, including CDM regulations and Temporary Works.
  • Proficiency in managing profit and loss statements, coupled with strong communication skills and expertise in MS Office.
  • A valid UK driving license, along with a Civil Engineering qualification and relevant certifications such as SMSTS/CSCS or NEBOSH.
  • Over a decade of experience in civil engineering, demonstrating leadership, project management skills, and a commitment to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
