Are you enthusiastic about environmental sustainability and possess strong communication skills? Norfolk County Council is on the lookout for an innovative and proactive Senior Environmental Project Coordinator to become a vital part of our Environment Service team. In this role, you will spearhead the planning, execution, and oversight of comprehensive communication strategies for a variety of environmental initiatives, ensuring adherence to Digital Accessibility standards.

The Senior Environmental Project Coordinator will be instrumental in the creation and execution of Norfolk's Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS). This strategy aligns with a national effort to bolster biodiversity and establish interconnected habitats throughout the region. You will engage with communities, landowners, and businesses to promote sustainable land use and conservation practices, ultimately contributing to a resilient and flourishing environment in Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities include:

Oversee daily communication resources and manage specific project initiatives. Formulate and implement communication strategies, encompassing website development, content generation, and promotional materials. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, project partners, external contractors, and local community stakeholders. Simplify complex environmental topics into engaging, audience-appropriate content. Provide strategic communication insights to enhance messaging and foster engagement to meet organizational goals. Maintain effective partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders. Ensure all communications align with relevant legislation, particularly Digital Accessibility requirements.
