Position 1 Recruitment is a prominent player in the food and beverage sector, currently seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to enhance our dynamic engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Technician will be instrumental in supporting operational processes and maintenance tasks across a large-scale, intricate industrial facility, dealing with a diverse range of motors, instruments, and electrical voltages.

This position may involve both shift work and day-based responsibilities, depending on operational needs.

Reporting Structure

Reporting directly to the Engineering Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing both planned and reactive electrical maintenance as necessary.

Core Duties Include:
  • Conducting electrical tasks, including three-phase electrical distribution ranging from 24V DC to 11kV AC, installation projects, instrumentation, calibrations, and maintenance in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Documenting all engineering activities accurately in the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Possessing recognized engineering qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, complemented by a formal apprenticeship.
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of the hazards and safety measures associated with a complex industrial environment, particularly in the production of food and feed.
