£38,376.94 annually (including on-call remuneration)

This Electrical Technician position is being advertised on behalf of our client, 'City Facilities Management'.

Established in 1985, City has evolved into one of the largest privately owned, integrated facilities management firms globally.


Role Objective:

This pivotal role involves executing both scheduled and urgent electrical maintenance across various locations in the region.

The main responsibility of this position is to perform technical repairs and minor planned preventative maintenance (PPM). You will ensure that all technical and compliance documentation is consistently completed and current.

All tasks will be executed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, adhering to the company's established Health and Safety protocols.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within designated timelines and ensure all requisite documentation is finalized
  • Respond swiftly and positively to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and performing repairs as necessary
  • Conduct tests and repairs on emergency lighting systems
  • Identify irreparable faults in equipment and machinery, promptly informing the line manager of findings
  • Ensure that compliance documentation is consistently completed and up to date
  • Inform the on-site client (manager) of any repair and maintenance concerns that may impact the seamless operation of the site
  • Perform surveys and compile reports as needed
  • Always adhere to the company's Health and Safety policies
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (1 week every 4 weeks)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Understanding of 3 Phase Electrics and its applications

  • Successful completion of PPM schedule within agreed timelines
  • Timely response to service call requests
  • Candidates must possess a valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle.
