About the team:

The Sales Operations team are a core part of the Client Office and perform a critical role within the Client Group, namely supporting the Chief Client Officer, Head of Client Office and Sales Leadership team in managing the function and sales territories/channels. Furthermore the team play an integral role in the smooth running of many sales processes and associated controls.

About the role:

The Manager, Sales Operations reports into the Director, Sales Operations. The role holder will play a key role in delivering the outcomes of the team working hand in hand with the Director, Sales Operations. A close working relationship will also be developed with the wider Client Office, the sales leadership and members of their teams. There will be a high degree of autonomy commensurate with the role holders experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Support smooth day to day working of Sales teamsEnsure and support sound operating model (ie. Governance, Communication, Processes, systems) for sales teamsFacilitate smooth running of key sales processes and associated controlsWorking with teams to ensure all activities adhere to abrdn policy, risk and control frameworksSales planning, reporting & MIProvision of relevant MI and reporting for management meetings, boards etc.Working with the wider Client Office and Sales Leadership team shape and deliver the strategic and operational priorities for the businessAssist in the developing and monitoring of annual sales planningBudgetary management and cost efficiencies identified with particular focus on effective ways to fund growth and manage operating costs with discipline and rigour.Manage key financial and Salesforce dataTo communicate optimally on behalf of the team both through participation in meetings and written reports to the wider business to provide relevant updates and input as required.Deliver, and where necessary lead, on change initiativesUtilise knowledge of abrdn and industry insight to proactively drive operational improvement activity to maximise efficiency and effectiveness as well as identify areas of growthWhat we're looking for:

Sound knowledge of abrdn and experience of working in commercial environment and able to demonstrate knowledge of the subject matterStrong influencing and interpersonal skills, as well as a track record of developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the businessExcellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to translate complex information, provide clear and concise communication and visual representation of key points and ideas, including report-writing to board levelProven ability to present recommendations to and positively influence multiple stakeholders on key business initiatives and strategic considerationsExperience in managing complex and detailed change impacting a business in respect of people, processes and systems, working effectively to achieve high quality resultsGood knowledge of management information, including key metricsBeing client driven in all you do, understanding and meeting the client's needs with a sharp commercial focusBeing confidential and exercise judgment on use and share of the information providedCompetent in basic data handling and interpretation skills as well as an intuitive grasp of systems and software We are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
