Job Title - Global Revenue Accountant - 7 Months FTC

Location - Hybrid/Crawley (2-3 days a week on-site)
Start Date - ASAP

The Client - Curo are Partnering with a Global Company who deliver their B2B Customers cutting-edge technology. Their automated test and assurance solutions accelerate technology development in the lab, and ensure new products and services perform in the real world. Their innovative portfolio of products and services address the test, assurance, and automation challenges of a new generation of technologies: 5G, SD-WAN, Cloud, Autonomous Vehicles and beyond.

The Candidate - This role would suit a candidate with proven experience in revenue accounting, with an excellent awareness of IRFS15/revenue recognition. In addition to recording revenue, the post holder will be tasked with Process Mapping, so experience documenting processes would be highly advantageous.
We are looking for a confident accounting professional with the ability to pick things up swiftly, and good commercial acumen. This role would suit a strong communicator, ideally with experience within Shared Services, or a large Multi-Site/Multi Subsidiary Global organisation.
The on-site requirement is 3 days per week initially, which once settled in and trained up, can drop to 2 days. The on-site is a non-negotiable, so this would only suit a candidate who is within a 1 hour commute to Crawley or less.

The Role - This hybrid post requires 2-3 days a week on-site in Crawley. The client would ideally like someone who lives within a reasonable commute to the office. Generally the role offers usual office hours, but flexibility would be required around month end, and to complete month end, and accommodate successful liaison with the US Team. This is an 7 month FTC. There is the possibility of this being extended, but this can't be guaranteed.

Duties -

  • The Global Revenue Accountant will be responsible for recording revenue in compliance with IFRS requirements, often for complex agreements. This includes reviewing customer PO's, Statement of Work documents, Master Purchasing Agreements and Terms & Conditions.
  • Day-to-day focus is supporting US revenue accounting; however, we need the flexibility for them to work across any aspect of revenue recognition both in the US or globally.
  • Supporting the documentation of current processes and controls.
  • Monthly responsibilities include journal entry preparation for revenue and transfer cost, account reconciliations.
  • Upload of financial data to corporate consolidation system, and management reporting using advanced Excel skills such as pivots and v-lookups.
  • Other responsibilities include maintenance of revenue amortization schedules, purchase price variance analysis, and provision analysis.
  • Requires communication and partnership with FP&A, Auditors, Accounting, Tax, Supply Chain, Order Entry, Commercial Operations and other business experts throughout the globe.
  • Project management experience with analysis and investigation skills.
  • Some flexibility in working hours may be required from time to time to support US based colleagues.

Job Requirements -

  • BA in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in revenue accounting.
  • Experience in services, manufacturing and intercompany accounting.
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition rules (IFRS15) for multi-element arrangements.
  • Process Mapping and enhancement experience.
  • Experience with JDE E1 ERP/Accounting, Apttus, Cognos or other reporting tool, and Salesforce or other CRM comparable system desirable.
  • Experience of working in a process focused environment such as shared services or outsourcing.
  • Strong Excel and (oral/written) presentation skills.
  • Process management experience and familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process management disciplines desired.
  • Detail oriented with problem solving skills.
  • Quick study, able to pick up complex transactions, agreements, systems and files.
  • Effective Team player, ability to work in a large team environment and meet tight deadlines
