Head of Distribution Relationships - Reinsurance

Context

As we evolve these trading partnerships, our challenge is to define and execute a best-in-class reinsurer relationship strategy which will have measurable success outcomes for Guy Carpenter and our client partners.

You'll land at Guy Carpenter in a collaborative, client centric environment where we give you the tools, resources and support to be at your best and thrive. You'll be given executive level exposure to $billion trading partnerships in the global reinsurance sector and an internal network of the most senior executives within Guy Carpenter. We have a world leading data and analytics team which you will engage with to drive the strategic story to help shape the industry's future.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work internally with senior leaders to evolve the Reinsurer Engagement strategic plan by aggregating regional needs supplemented by ongoing assessment of successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate the execution of the Reinsurer Engagement plan including the priority and type of engagement needed with each reinsurer.
  • Ensure priorities for each relationship are clearly defined, with action plans and follow-ups.
  • Track key takeaways and ensure follow through on action items from exec meetings; provide updates on progress.
  • Work internally with Business Intelligence to create content for strategy meetings and flag key messaging on core reinsurers such as investor day topics; incorporate into action plans.
  • Maintain a meeting schedule to regularly check in with key reinsurers on market topics and action items with GC.
  • Consistently follow up internally on projects and on key takeaways with each core partner.
  • Contribute to advancement of reinsurer analysis tools and placement data utilization.

Experience Required

  • Successful track record leading the development and execution of a strategic client/market engagement plan.
  • Connector in chief, with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders in a complex matrix report line structure.
  • Exceptional organisational skills to ensure focus remains on engagement, follow ups and next steps.
  • Track record in leveraging data visualizations to drive a story/strategy.

Experience Preferred

  • A working knowledge of the reinsurance sector would be advantageous.
