About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Head of Sales and Distribution to join our team at Todd Consulting. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding our distribution network, and enhancing our market presence in the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Revenue Growth:
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and enhance market penetration for our products in the country.
    • Set challenging and achievable sales targets for the team and distributors, and monitor sales performance to ensure objectives are met.
    • Understand the correct demographics of the country to ensure we have the best penetration for each product in our portfolio.
  • Distribution Network Management:
    • Build and maintain a robust distribution network, ensuring comprehensive coverage and efficient supply chain operations.
    • Develop strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders to enhance sales performance.
    • Identify new potential distributors that can enhance the brand image and revenue for the group.
  • Performance Tracking:
    • Identify key products that have become slow-moving or non-performing and develop a clear strategy to overcome these challenges.
    • Monitor KPIs to track performance and measure success against targets.
    • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to anticipate market trends and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales and distribution team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure effective logistics and inventory management to meet customer demands and minimize stock outs.
    • Implement and oversee operational policies and procedures to drive efficiency and compliance.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, builders, architects, and stakeholders to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Address customer issues and feedback promptly and effectively.
  • Marketing & Brand Communication:
    • Plan and execute key promotional events for our key customers, builders, architects, and specifiers to experience our unique products.
    • Create awareness for our current experience centers to enhance footfall and visitors.
    • Develop and enhance sales tools to support our brand awareness through micro-websites, POS materials, and catalogs.

Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and distribution management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the sanitary products or related industry.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a large distribution network.
    • In-depth understanding of the UK market and consumer behavior in the sanitary products sector.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • High level of integrity and professionalism.
    • Willingness to travel extensively within the country.
