Working as part of the Digital Platforms Transformation Team, the Agile Delivery Lead will help to develop and evolve agile projects, significantly influencing IT and digital projects, working with senior members of the Business IT teams.

ScottishPower is looking for this person to blend traditional project management principles and practices with an Agile development approach in the right proportions, to provide the appropriate level of planning. You'll use a hybrid Agile approach, good judgment, and skill to develop a project management approach that is efficient and effective in achieving the project goals.

What you'll be doing

The Agile Delivery Lead ensures the effective facilitation of Agile events, including planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, to enhance team collaboration and productivity. You'll optimise team performance by monitoring and analysing metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Stakeholder Management is key within this role, to maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and outcomes, and ensuring their requirements and expectations are met. In addition to this, you'll proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimise the impact on delivery timelines and quality.

We're looking for this person to promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation, learning from failures, and implementing best practices and lessons learned across teams.

Doing this while supporting the professional growth and development of team members by providing coaching, mentoring, and training on Agile principles and practices. There will be a key focus on quality assurance, implementing and upholding high standards of quality, ensuring adherence to Agile practices and principles, and by facilitating regular reviews and inspections.

You'll align team activities and deliverables with the organisation's strategic objectives, ensuring that projects contribute to the overall business success and value creation, being an advocate for Agile values and principles across the organisation, and fostering an Agile mindset and culture to drive transformation and innovation.

There will be the opportunity to lead and manage the adoption of new processes, tools, and practices within the organisation, ensuring smooth transitions and minimising disruptions while achieving the desired outcome of the change initiatives.

What you'll bring Be able to demonstrate proven Agile project delivery experience Proven ability to lead projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met An understanding of Agile Project Management techniques Solid experience of Microsoft 365 Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the "big picture" view Knowledge of IT digital technologies and platforms to assist project delivery What's in it for you
