Job Overview

As an Agility Lead at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, you will be instrumental in promoting agile methodologies and nurturing a culture that values innovation and exceptional performance within a premier financial services organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspire and guide teams in embracing a Lean-Agile mindset, fostering open communication and engagement to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Utilize advanced communication and facilitation skills to effectively manage stakeholder relationships and convey organizational challenges to leadership.
  • Develop and execute operational and transformation strategies, prioritizing initiatives and managing resources to meet product objectives efficiently through data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify emerging trends and contribute innovative ideas to shape new policies and best practices within the agile discipline.
  • Mentor and coach individuals and teams to enhance organizational adaptability and delivery effectiveness across various practices and structures.
  • Facilitate impactful events and sessions, including team reviews, retrospectives, workshops, and training, to enhance team collaboration.
  • Continuously expand personal and team knowledge of the latest advancements in agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate with agile thought leaders across the organization to address challenges and enhance overall agility.
  • Support effective scaling and de-scaling of agile practices, ensuring transparency and minimizing dependencies across teams.
  • Assist in removing obstacles that hinder agility and effectiveness for both teams and the organization.
  • Promote team health and effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative assessments of culture, practices, and structures.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience in coaching teams and individuals on Lean-Agile practices, with a strong focus on project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of various product development lifecycle stages and methodologies, enabling effective guidance for teams.
  • Expertise in agile delivery methods, including Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP), with the ability to navigate complex projects while emphasizing iterative progress.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Relevant certifications such as PSM 2/3, A-CSM, CSP-SM, ICP-ATF, ICP-ACC, ICE-AC.
  • Strong understanding of the core competencies required for facilitating, coaching, mentoring, and leading in a Lean-Agile context.
  • Substantial experience in software development, leadership, or testing roles.
  • Extensive background as a Scrum Master and agile team coach.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Jira Align, Lucidspark, and Confluence.
  • Experience in the financial services or regulatory sectors.
