Job Opportunity: Graduate Teaching Assistant

The pay for this role ranges from £419.25 to £500 per week.

Role Overview:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers and students in a variety of academic and administrative tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for graduates who are considering a career in education and wish to gain valuable classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Support:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons by providing support to individual students and small groups.
  • Help prepare lesson materials and resources, ensuring they are ready for use in the classroom.
  • Supervise and manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive learning environment.

Student Support:

  • Work with students who need additional help, including those with special educational needs, to ensure they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Support students with their academic progress, providing guidance and encouragement.
  • Help to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and track students' progress against their targets.

Administrative Duties:

  • Assist with the marking and assessment of students' work, providing feedback where appropriate.
  • Help maintain accurate records of students' progress and attendance.
  • Support the organization and coordination of school events, trips, and activities.

Extracurricular Involvement:

  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including clubs and sports, to provide additional support and engagement opportunities for students.
  • Assist in the supervision of students during break times, lunch periods, and after-school activities.

Collaboration and Professional Development:

  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting the school's values and ethos.

  • A degree in any discipline, with a strong academic background.
