Mathematics Graduate Teaching Support

Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed Mathematics Graduate to become part of a secondary school recognized by Ofsted as 'Good'. This full-time position involves supporting the Maths department and is ideal for recent graduates enthusiastic about pursuing a career in education.

Position Overview:

As a Mathematics Graduate Teaching Support, you will play a crucial role in assisting both educators and students within the Maths department. Your primary responsibilities will encompass:

  • Academic Assistance: Aiding Maths educators in delivering impactful lessons, including working with small groups or providing individual support to enhance students' comprehension of essential mathematical principles.
  • Personalized Tutoring: Offering focused assistance to students requiring extra help in their Maths studies, facilitating their understanding of complex topics and boosting their confidence in the subject.
  • Resource Development: Contributing to the creation of educational materials, such as worksheets and lesson plans, to enrich the learning experience for students.
  • Classroom Support: Aiding in maintaining a productive and positive classroom atmosphere by assisting the teacher with classroom management and ensuring student engagement.
  • Exam Readiness: Supporting students in their revision and preparation for Maths examinations, providing guidance on effective study methods and problem-solving techniques.
  • Collaboration with Educators: Working in close partnership with the Maths department and other staff members to ensure that the educational needs of each student are met effectively.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.
  • A genuine interest in education and a desire to assist young individuals in achieving academic success.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex mathematical ideas in a straightforward and understandable manner.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, demonstrating a proactive and adaptable approach to supporting both students and teachers.
