Purpose of the Role
Join the Software and Integration team as the Integration Manager where you’ll have the exciting opportunity to lead software and hardware integration across multiple vehicle projects, more specifically the Continental GT and Flying Spur. Reporting into the Head of Integration Management and Software Excellence your main responsibilities include;

  • Providing technical strategic leadership, in depth technical knowledge and guidance of all dependant functions regarding maturity planning, integration management, configuration management & change and release management
  • Achievement of business objectives and technical development when it comes to the Integration management vehicle projects, delivering on time and within budget
  • Concept definition of the Software related functional scope for new vehicle projects and platforms, taking into account the technical feasibility, cost aspects and market requirements
  • Consolidation of errors and deviations compared to target state across all sensors on the basis of comprehensive defect management for the assigned vehicle projects
  • Support in Configuration and Release of the entire vehicle Software for use in R&D (pre series), in production and in aftersales
  • Lead engagement with all appropriate Volkswagen Group Committees for Software Integration Management and Software readiness

About the Team
The Integration and Software Management team leads the development and delivery plan for on-time and quality software releases. Electrical content in the vehicle is increasing exponentially, technology and functions are developing fast with more integrated software. New product Launch and Market Entry deliverables are dependent on on-time and to quality software delivery. New vehicle software is released into pre-series and series production and needs to be integrated in a controlled way.

About you – Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of modern vehicle architectures, networking and functions in software and hardware
  • Automotive Software integration project experience
  • Professional experience in the field of overall vehicle project management and integration as well as functional validation
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Technical Engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Associate member of relevant professional institute is desirable
  • German language skills would be advantageous
