Main Responsibilities


• To provide a consistently high-quality clinical pharmacy service for patients in the Acute Medical Admissions Unit.

• To collaborate closely with the acute medical admissions multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.

• To develop a clinical and patient-focused pharmacy service for integrated care, ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality, and clinically effective pharmaceutical care.

• To work in conjunction with Divisional Pharmacists and the Lead Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist to guarantee the safe and appropriate use of medications, including intravenous therapies.

• To serve as the pharmaceutical authority on medication use within your area of responsibility, providing a specialized referral point for healthcare professionals in the Acute Medical Admissions Unit.

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

Vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification.

Experience

Essential Criteria

Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital pharmacy.

Desirable Criteria

Experience in Emergency Medicine.
