As part of the Central Rail Systems Alliance (CRSA), you will collaborate with various partners across the rail sector. This alliance is dedicated to positively transforming the UK track renewals landscape by leveraging the collective strengths of all partners through cooperative efforts.

By integrating expertise in essential rail infrastructure and track renewals, the alliance implements innovative strategies to achieve efficiencies and foster a more dependable railway system.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining centralized staffing rosters for CRSA East Depot, encompassing Track, Signalling, Electrification, and Welding personnel;
  • Coordinating with Project Managers and Site Management to ensure rosters align with planned activities;
  • Ensuring optimal staff allocation based on task requirements;
  • Monitoring worked and unworked hours, managing working time in compliance with legislative standards;
  • Cultivating relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and contractual delivery;
  • Overseeing interactions with Labour Suppliers to guarantee timely and accurate resource procurement;
  • Evaluating Labour Supplier performance and spearheading necessary improvements;
  • Managing site access control personnel to maintain compliance and competency in access protocols;
  • Collaborating with Site Management and other Resource Managers to enhance performance and efficiency.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualities and experience:

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen;
  • Comprehensive understanding of contract stipulations;
  • Familiarity with procurement processes;
  • Effective management of core and subcontracted labor;
  • Awareness of health, safety, and environmental regulations;
  • Insight into client specifications and requirements;
  • Knowledge of business objectives and company goals;
  • Understanding of staff competency standards.

Important Skills

  • Proficiency in computer applications;
  • Familiarity with track operations.

Desirable Qualifications

  • BTEC HNC/HND Level in Engineering or Business Discipline, or relevant industry experience.
