Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of this role is to collaborate with the Site Facilities Manager and fellow team members to execute maintenance services effectively. This encompasses the implementation of the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule and addressing reactive maintenance tasks, all in accordance with operational manuals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a mobile role, conducting daily assessments of water systems across designated facilities.
  • Support technical personnel in performing maintenance and repair duties.
  • Execute non-technical engineering maintenance evaluations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of plant and work areas.
  • Complete weekly and monthly inspections of water systems to ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Conduct failsafe checks and servicing of Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs).
  • Perform cleaning and disinfection of cold water storage tanks and related equipment.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience with HSG274, Approved Code of Practice L8, and Health Care Memorandum (HTM).
  • Awareness of Legionella risks.
  • Experience in water monitoring and tank inspections.
  • Background in legionella management, water treatment, and hygiene practices.
  • Plumbing qualifications up to NVQ Level 2 are desirable.
  • Risk Assessor qualifications are a plus.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to work at heights after receiving appropriate training.
  • Flexibility in work hours is essential.
  • Must possess a valid UK driving license.
  • Demonstrate punctuality consistently.
