Business Development Director II for European Expansion

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director II to lead the growth of our Real-World Data (RWD) solutions in European territories.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for selling RWD solutions that enable clinical trials through optimizing protocol design, patient recruitment, and other services developed. Achieving account portfolio financial goals, building strong relationships with clients, and growing market share of existing service lines are key objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Sell RWD solutions to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, focusing on mid-level and executive decision makers.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify client needs and develop targeted sales strategies.
  • Maintain frequent personal contact with clients, participate in bid defense and capabilities meetings, and sell Labcorp's capabilities and differentiation frameworks.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5-7 years of relevant client-facing experience selling services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech section.
  • RWD/RWE and outcomes research knowledge and sales experience is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of real-world data sources and ability to apply this in solution recommendations that effectively address customer challenges.
  • An ability to work independently and be self-motivated, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and executive presence with successful presentation and communication capabilities.
  • A bachelor's degree in life sciences is preferred.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience.
