Business Development Director II

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director II to join our team at Labcorp. As a key member of our commercial organization, you will play a critical role in identifying and shaping opportunities for our continued growth within European territories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell Real-World Data (RWD) solutions that enable clinical trials through optimizing protocol design, patient recruitment, and other solutions/services developed.
  • Achieve account portfolio financial goals, relationship building goals, and grow market share of existing service lines.
  • Optimize new service line launch and maintain frequent personal contact with clients.
  • Participate in bid defense and/or capabilities meetings, lead client presentations, and sell the business unit's capabilities and differentiation frameworks.
  • Liaise with Scientific Leadership and Marketing to target scientific input that adds value to account strategy and deepens Labcorp's scientific perception within accounts.
  • Collaborate with RWD Products team and participate in RWD Products operational meetings to develop concepts, strategies, and define services.
  • Create and manage robust and strategic account plans, including actionable account strategies.
  • Communicate account plans, modifications, and account activity through SFDC, manage internal communication, and document territory and client information as required.
  • Provide comprehensive intelligence on key competitors and participate in proposal scope development as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of relevant client-facing experience selling services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech section with direct interaction with mid-level and executive-level decision makers.
  • RWD/RWE and outcomes research knowledge and sales experience preferred.
  • Comfortable discussing Real-world data, clinical trial, and research concepts with Biopharma customers and physician stakeholders.
  • Public health, industry, life sciences background and experience.
  • Working knowledge of analytics and modeling.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to identify client needs.
  • Resourceful networking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead.
  • Executive presence with successful presentation and communication capabilities.
  • Ability to travel 50-70% and participate in some overnight travel for client visits, sales events, and trade shows.
