Job Title: Deputy General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy General Manager to join our Transformation Unit at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and delivering high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The Deputy General Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational management to the Critical Care Directorate. You will work closely with the General Manager, Head of Nursing, Clinical Director, and other stakeholders to develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance the overall patient experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing operational plans to achieve strategic objectives
  • Leading and managing a team of clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitoring and evaluating performance metrics to inform decision-making
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Postgraduate management qualification or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in operational management, preferably in a healthcare setting
