Position Overview:

We are seeking a Manager, SMB Sales to oversee, mentor, and nurture a team of Account Executives and Sales Development Representatives dedicated to acquiring new business within the SMB sector through inside sales, technical demonstrations, and facilitating deal closures. In this pivotal role, you will foster a culture of high performance and accountability, developing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for your team while consistently tracking results to ensure sales targets are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Account Executives to achieve and surpass sales quotas, generating new revenue streams.
  • Attract, recruit, and retain top-performing Account Executives.
  • Promote a culture of performance excellence.
  • Coach and develop team members for success in their current roles while preparing them for future career advancement.
  • Provide comprehensive training and support to enhance understanding of Deputy's products, industry, market, and best practices in inside sales.
  • Guide the team in prioritizing both new and existing pipeline creation to optimize sales efforts monthly.
  • Participate in sales calls, offering coaching and assistance in deal closures as needed.
  • Conduct regular reviews of calls and presentations.
  • Engage in pipeline and deal reviews with representatives, assisting them in winning deals through effective presentations and negotiation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership to ensure lead quality and effective follow-up.
  • Deliver detailed performance analysis and reporting to sales leadership, providing accurate forecasts based on individual and historical performance.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and productivity.
  • Occasionally oversee the sales team to ensure seamless operations during the absence of regional leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in quota-carrying software sales, preferably within a SaaS environment.
  • 3+ years of management experience in a sales context.
  • Experience in a self-prospecting sales environment or prior leadership in Sales Development Representatives.
  • Proven track record in hiring, developing, and promoting inside sales representatives.
  • Demonstrated success in selling through product demonstrations, email outreach, and social selling.
  • Experience with implementing a sales methodology.
  • Consistent achievement of 100%+ of sales quotas as an individual contributor.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated resilience and determination in driving sales growth and overcoming challenges in a competitive SaaS landscape.
