Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Sales Manager to lead our SMB Sales team in London. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and building a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Account Executives to develop and meet sales quotas, resulting in new revenue for Deputy
  • Attract, hire, and retain high-performing Account Executives
  • Drive a performance culture that fosters accountability, innovation, and collaboration
  • Coach and develop your team for success in their current role while preparing them for future opportunities within Deputy
  • Provide training and support to the team to better understand Deputy's products, industry, market, and best practices for inside sales
  • Guide your team to prioritize new pipeline creation and existing pipeline to optimize their sales efforts each month
  • Consistently join sales calls, providing coaching and guidance, and assisting in deal closure when necessary
  • Regularly conduct call and presentation reviews to ensure team members are meeting sales goals
  • Consistently conduct pipeline and deal reviews with reps to help them win deals via online presentations, negotiations, and deal strategy
  • Work closely with sales leadership and reps to ensure lead quality, quantity, and proper follow-up
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the team's performance, as well as accurate forecasts to sales leadership based on individual performance and historical trends
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and productivity
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years in quota-carrying software sales (preferably in a SaaS environment)
  • 3+ years of management experience in a sales environment
  • Experience working in a heavy self-prospecting sales environment or worked in prior SDR leadership
  • Track record in hiring, developing, and promoting inside sales representatives
  • Proven experience selling via product demonstrations, email, and social selling
  • Experience using and implementing a sales methodology
  • Consistent track record of 100%+ of quota achievement as an individual contributor
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate grit and determination in driving sales growth, consistently overcoming challenges, and persisting through obstacles to achieve and exceed targets in a competitive SaaS market
