Role Overview

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a highly skilled Imaging Systems Administrator to join our Imaging Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging systems, including PACS, VNA, and RIS.

  • Coordinate and work closely with external vendors, Radiology, Cardiology, and other ancillary department personnel to facilitate installation and resolve ongoing support issues.
  • Support all internal and external providers in the use of PACS/VNA, RIS, and third-party systems.
  • Manage and support all digital image transfers (import/export/archive).
  • Provide support for Clinical Imaging Systems equipment in clinical areas.
  • Ensure data accuracy of patient information on all Clinical Imaging Systems.
  • Daily administration of reporting workstation, checking event logs, correcting any errors in patient study data in line with department protocols.
  • Have complete understanding of local rules and Imaging Services departmental policies and procedures.
  • Installation/removal/repair of PACS/VNA software on all viewing workstations.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of specialized systems, including Radiology, Cardiology, and other imaging workflows, DICOM, HL7, EPR, PACS, VNA, RIS, IEP, AMBRA, and third-party imaging applications.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of PACS/VNA, Cardiology systems, including image workflow, archiving, autorouting, prefetching, and other related activities.
  • Work closely with radiology quality management caregivers to identify and design future needs and efficient workflow processes.
  • Support other departments related to medical imaging initiatives and procedures.

  • Minimally a BSc(Hons) Radiography/Computer Science/Health Informatics, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers, or equivalent required.
  • Professions Council or equivalent IT/Healthcare experience essential.
  • PACS Administrator training essential.
  • Current valid Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) registration desired.
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge of Imaging Systems and the interrelationship of these with other clinical services within a complex hospital environment.
  • Knowledge of Information Governance and its use within the Imaging IT environment.
  • Knowledge of working practices within Imaging departments.
