What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Imaging Systems Manager (PACS) to join our Imaging Team, with a competitive salary range on offer, depending one experience.

The Imaging Systems Managers overall responsibility is to administer, manage and support the operations, system maintenance and quality control activities of Clinical Imaging Systems at Cleveland Clinic London.

They will also work with ongoing projects and task responsibilities to the HVTI Institute Manager, Clinical Engineering Manager and IT Manager. They will be responsible for: the efficient day-to-day Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS/VNA), Radiology Information System (RIS), Cardiology and other CCL digital technologies, in order to ensure continuity of patient care at all times. Managerial support within the Clinical Imaging Systems team, maintaining effective service delivery through the allocation and management of resources, responding to evolving clinical service needs, handling complaints and ensuring close liaison with clinical users and third party suppliers.

  What will your duties include?

Act as local Systems Administrator for:

Clinical Imaging PACS/VNA software including Multi Planar Reconstruction (MPR) and 3D image processing software tools used to store all radiology images Voice recognition software used in image reporting Demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of the following specialised system to assist with training and provide 1st line support (indicative list only and non-exhaustive Terarecon Brainlab / TraumaCad Orpheus CAST Nuance PS 360 Zeiss (Ophthalmology) Syngo VIA Syngo Dynamic Digitiser CD burning software used to produce CDs of patient images CR software used in the post processing of plain film Workstation used in the post processing of MRI Workstation used in the post processing of CT Orthopaedic electronic templating software used to pre plan operations such as hip joint replacements Other Third Party DICOM systems Assist vendors in the build of Clinical Imaging systems, documenting department workflow and assisting in the construction of a support model that can be transitioned to an Information ISS role for technical support. Implement, support, and potentially lead integrations for Clinical Imaging System projects. Prepare reports for administration on all aspects of medical imaging operations as appropriate or directed. Maintain effective service delivery through the allocation and management of physical resources and respond to evolving clinical service needs across CCL’s Clinical Imaging Systems. Organise and deliver training to a wide range of clinical and non-clinical Caregivers at the appropriate level. Provide application and technical support for the Imaging team in addition to system triage and troubleshooting assistance to the end-users. Provide workflow, documentation and standardisation with system optimisation for the application and workflow alignments. Engage in problem management and resolution activities.  Installation and integration of image modalities for PACS, PACS/VNA, DMWL and worklists. Responsible for day-to-day operation of Imaging Systems including image workflow, archiving, autorouting, prefetching and other related activities. Liaise closely with the IT team on the appropriate prioritisation and allocation of resources to support service development and improvement.

Act in accordance with, contribute and be involved in revision, training and implementation of departmental and professional policies and procedures such as:

Health and Safety including risk assessments. Radiation Protection Procedures. Ionisation Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017 (IR(ME)R17) Quality Assurance Programs. Clinical Governance. Information Governance. All associated imaging systems subject area guidelines and best practice. Carry out other work and duties as workload may require.  Develop and improve professional expertise via continuous professional development.

What we need from you?

Minimally a BSc(Hons) Radiography / Computer Science / Health Informatics, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent required. Professions Council or equivalent IT/Healthcare experience required. Completion of PACS Administrator training required. PRINCE2 or equivalent Project Management qualification required. Current valid Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) registration desired required if Radiographer. Completion of PACS Administrator training experience required. Highly developed specialist knowledge and experience of Imaging Systems and the interrelationship of these with other clinical services within a complex hospital environment. Knowledge of Information Governance and its use within the Imaging IT environment. Equivalent to a level of 7 of the International English Language Testing System or the Occupational English Test (OET) at level B is required. Knowledge of IR(ME)R and Ionising Radiations Regulations. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work autonomously. Ability to prioritise workload in a complex environment and supervise members of the team, ensuring high quality, safe and effective patient care. Advanced PC skills presentation and teaching/training skills. Developed physical skills; manipulation of objects and people; narrow margins for error; highly developed physical skills, accuracy important; manipulation of fine tools, materials/high degree of precision.
