Job Title: Sales Development Manager

We are seeking a motivated and driven Sales Development Manager to join our Materials Handling team in the Midlands region. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing both long- and short-term rentals of our forklift trucks, as well as promoting other products and services within the designated area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with other Group Area Sales Executives to maintain high levels of forklift truck utilisation within our fleet.
  • Maintaining regular contact with Field Sales Managers and Area Sales Executives to ensure sales efforts align with company sales plans.
  • Acting upon your own initiative to research potential customers through various sources, including sightings, trade publications, historical data, customer databases, and industry knowledge.
  • Making appointments to visit key potential customers and keeping accurate sales records of follow-up visits and current business situations.
Requirements:
  • A full, valid UK driving license.
  • Educated to college level or experience equivalent.
  • Proven sales background and experienced negotiator with good face-to-face selling skills and ability to close the sale.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of personal presentation.
  • Knowledge of leasing and hire terms would be advantageous.
  • Experience of using CRM systems would be advantageous.
