Job Description

A 12-month fixed-term opportunity has arisen for a Lead Cancer Allied Health Professional to join the National Strategic Clinical Network for Cancer. The post holder will support the strategic management of AHPs working in cancer care, adopting innovative approaches to enhance clinical effectiveness and improve patient outcomes.

  • Supporting the delivery of the Welsh Government Cancer Delivery Plan objectives to drive clinical quality
  • Providing professional support and guidance on cancer rehabilitation, including co-production, value-based care, and self-management
  • Working with professional groups and services to ensure developments meet national, local, and organisational priorities

The post holder will work collaboratively with Directors of Therapies and Health Sciences, Trust AHP Directors, and Cancer Network Lead Cancer Nurses to develop and provide leadership on the strategic direction of Allied Health Professional teams in Oncology and Palliative Care.

We are seeking a highly experienced individual with:

  • Relevant HCPC registration in an Allied Health Profession
  • A Master's level qualification in cancer rehabilitation or a health-related subject
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in cancer rehabilitation
  • SIGNIFICANT AND SENIOR-LEVEL EXPERIENCE WORKING AS AN AHP IN A COMPLEX ONCOLOGY/CANCER SERVICE

This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check and requires flexibility to travel across Wales.

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
