About the Role

We are recruiting for a Lead Cancer Allied Health Professional to join our team at the National Strategic Clinical Network for Cancer. This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity that will allow you to make a significant impact in the field of cancer care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the strategic management of AHPs working in cancer care, adopting innovative approaches to enhance clinical effectiveness and improve patient outcomes.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the delivery of the Welsh Government Cancer Delivery Plan objectives
  • Providing professional support and guidance on cancer rehabilitation
  • Working with professional groups and services to ensure developments meet national, local, and organisational priorities

You will work closely with Directors of Therapies and Health Sciences, Trust AHP Directors, and Cancer Network Lead Cancer Nurses to develop and provide leadership on the strategic direction of Allied Health Professional teams in Oncology and Palliative Care.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant HCPC registration in an Allied Health Profession
  • A Master's level qualification in cancer rehabilitation or a health-related subject
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in cancer rehabilitation
  • SIGNIFICANT AND SENIOR-LEVEL EXPERIENCE WORKING AS AN AHP IN A COMPLEX ONCOLOGY/CANCER SERVICE

Salary Range: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
