Prehabilitation Assistant Practitioner

The post holder is required to support the implementation and delivery of the newly funded cancer prehabilitation service across the region. They will work under the direction of registered therapists maintaining an effective, day-to-day service working in the cancer prehabilitation service. The post holder will provide a service with the registered therapists that will promote physical and functional prehabilitation and the nutritional status of patients. They will work under supervision and assisting the registered therapist in clinical and administrative duties. The post holder will carry out delegated routine interventions independently and progress these interventions within guidelines determined by the registrant therapists. The post holder will help with the management of a defined caseload of clients with variable complexity of needs within this setting, whilst supporting the delivery and evaluation. The post holder will support the production of evidence based written materials and teaching resources as required and ensure their regular review. The post holder will be expected to travel between SBU Health Board geography as required to support service delivery.
