We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the Cancer Performance & Information Team based at Morriston Hospital as an Cancer MDT Co-ordinator.

This is an interesting and varied role working within a wider cancer performance & information team across our three main hospital sites. Providing administrative and information support in all aspects of the designated MDT/s you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, the HB Cancer Lead and specialty management teams delivering a key role in the operational delivery of cancer pathways including collating, recording and validating data.

You will require excellent communication skills to assist in responding to enquiries from a number of staff groups, have a proactive and friendly attitude and be able to develop effective relationships with a wide range of staff and key stakeholders.

Manage the co-ordination of Cancer Site Specific MDT Meetings. As a core member of the MDT the co-ordinator will collect all essential information as determined by the relevant data set.

This requires the co-ordinator to work closely with the clinical team, highlighting information deficits to ensure completeness of data.

To be a core member of cancer site-specific multi-disciplinary team/s, providing full administrative and information support in all aspects and business activities of the multi-disciplinary team/s.

The co-ordinator will be required to collate, record and validate data for submission to national (UK wide) and/or Wales wide based audits, including Cancer Peer Review and Cancer Standards and any local audits identified by the multi-disciplinary team/s. Ensuring submission documentation is complete within the specified deadlines.

To actively ensure that all patients are treated within National Targets set for cancer patients. Ensuring all MDT members are aware of patient’s wait status and target dates during MDT discussions, proactively taking steps to identify delays and escalate to the clinical team and relevant operational management teams to ensure that patient’s treatment schedules are brought back within target.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
