Consultant Psychiatrist in Crisis and Psychiatry Liaison Services Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team, specializing in crisis and psychiatry liaison services for young people. This is a new post that combines expertise with leadership and teaching roles.

The successful candidate will split their time between our established Young Person's Crisis Team and our newly commissioned Psychiatry Liaison Team for young people at the Great North Children's Hospital. They will bring flexibility and enthusiasm to shape this innovative service and contribute to one of the most prestigious children's hospitals in the country.

This leadership role involves participating in morning multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss patient needs and jointly plan daily activities with other team members. The consultant will need to think critically and adapt to changing priorities and clinical risks. Sharing expertise through formal and informal channels is essential in this role.
