About the Job

We are looking for a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at the Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality services to children and young people in need of mental health support.

As a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing specialist care to children and young people. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of new initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing specialist psychiatric services to children and young people in need of mental health support
  • Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Contributing to the development of new initiatives and service improvements
  • Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • MBBS (or equivalent)
  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
  • Included on GMC Specialist Register (CAMHS) or eligible for inclusion, or a trainee within six months of CCT
  • Approved under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983
  • Approved Clinician Status
