About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will work closely with our dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of our patients. Main Responsibilities:

  1. Providing specialist psychiatric services to children and young people in need of mental health support
  2. Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  3. Contributing to the development of new initiatives and service improvements
  4. Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • MBBS (or equivalent)
  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
  • Included on GMC Specialist Register (CAMHS) or eligible for inclusion, or a trainee within six months of CCT
  • Approved under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983
  • Approved Clinician Status
