Job Description

Job Title: Facilities and Hard Services Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities and Hard Services Manager to join our team at Bellrock Property and Facilities Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and managing the facilities operation within Balfron High School and ensuring the statutory PPM servicing and reactive breakdown service are carried out to good industry practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage the facilities operation within Balfron High School
  • Ensure the statutory PPM servicing and reactive breakdown service are carried out to good industry practice
  • Provide client reports as required, maintain asset data in line with current legislation, provide guidance on lifecycle requests and ensure that VFM exercises are carried out to ensure best value to Bellrock and our lifecycle partners
  • Take the responsibility for the implementation of Bellrock Environmental and health and safety policies applicable to the contract, and that a safe system of work is applied and adopted by all team members and sub-contractors
  • Provide reports to the Senior Facilities manager as required for all aspects of Facilities management within the contract
  • Work within the budget constraints of the individual contract and show commercial acumen when making decisions around forecasting and estimating works
  • Plan PPM servicing works and reactive maintenance repairs to our customer's premises to agreed KPI response times carrying out repairs to the highest standards and reporting any immediate defects or further works required
  • Receive, attend and update all jobs in a timely manner using the provided IT equipment, followed by accurate detailed records both electronically and in the site daily log books
  • Ensure that the help desk is always updated with the job progress, job completion, quotes required etc. and ensure the customer is updated as required at all times
  • Ensure all associated paperwork and certificates are completed
  • Manage sub contractors on site
  • Present a smart and pleasant demeanor when on and off site and engaging with the client
Requirements:
  • City and Guilds Mechanical / Electrical Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role is essential
  • IOSH
  • Corporate / Healthcare / HTM / Critical Environment - experience desirable
  • IT literacy essential (Word / Excel / CAFM usage)
  • Member of IWFM or similar
  • Experience in Facilities Management at contract level
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Experience in the management of training of all team members and improving team performance
  • Experience of large complex heating and water systems
  • Boiler and associated system component fault finding experience
  • Flexible work attitude and ability to adapt to client business demands
  • Respectful and professional presentation at all times
  • Good housekeeping and workplace organisation
