About the Position

TC Facilities Management is seeking a dedicated Facilities Operations Manager to oversee a dynamic Distribution Centre contract. This role is primarily field-based, and the ideal candidate will be situated in the Glasgow area. You will play a crucial role in the efficient management of facilities services at the site, collaborating closely with the client.

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strong leadership and effective oversight of a sizable janitorial team focused on soft services.
  • Cost Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to enhance cost-effectiveness while adhering to health and safety regulations and COSHH standards.
  • Communication: Maintain proactive communication with site colleagues, ensuring they are well-informed about customer requirements and on-site developments.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the provision of a safe, clean, and high-quality environment.
  • Colleague Relations: Manage colleague relations effectively and ensure appropriate staffing levels, including recruitment and prioritization of tasks.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze key data to achieve performance indicators.
  • Team Management: Previous experience in managing large teams is essential.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel between various sites is necessary; a valid driving license is required.
  • FM Strategy Implementation: Deliver services in line with the FM strategy, site service charter, and service level agreements.
  • Project Management: Oversee on-site FM projects as coordinated with the Project Team.
  • Client Interface: Act as a key liaison between the on-site client and contracted service providers daily.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on service level agreements and key performance indicators.
  • Supplier Management: Monitor service delivery and customer interactions with supply partners.
  • Financial Oversight: Ensure all services are delivered within budget and service level agreements through diligent financial tracking.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and rationalization of hard services to enhance performance and customer engagement.
  • Compliance Management: Manage departmental audits and statutory compliance plans to maintain legal status.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers to meet their expectations within defined specifications.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee relations issues in accordance with HR policies, valuing diversity.
  • Training and Induction: Train and onboard all colleagues regarding their roles, expected standards, and company policies.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all colleagues are trained in relevant health, safety, and COSHH policies.
  • Emergency Response: Respond effectively to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
  • Customer Focus: Make decisions that prioritize ongoing customer relationships and adapt to their needs.
  • Performance Management: Set and review performance standards to enhance overall effectiveness.
  • Coaching: Provide coaching to colleagues to help them meet their objectives.
  • Professional Relationships: Build respectful and professional working relationships across different regions and departments.
