About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at McAleer & Rushe. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Work closely with the Project Manager to plan and coordinate project activities, ensuring that project requirements, specifications, and design drawings are met.
    • Develop and implement project schedules, resource allocation plans, and quality control procedures.
  • Site Operations and Management
    • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
    • Manage and coordinate site activities, including labor, materials, and equipment.
    • Monitor and control site costs, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure that all works are carried out to the required standard, meeting the company's quality management system.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
    • Communicate project progress, issues, and changes to stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit regular project reports, including progress updates, cost reports, and quality control reports.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of site activities, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications
    • A degree or HND in construction management or a related discipline.
  • Experience
    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar site management role, working on projects ranging from £5M+.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Excellent communication and planning skills.
    • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
    • Commercially astute, with the ability to identify cost savings and manage budgets.
    • Knowledge and understanding of CDM regulations.
    • IT literate, with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD.
