About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents with mental health disorders. As a Child Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health disorders, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, and behavioral disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of children and adolescents to assess their mental health needs and formulate individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based psychiatric treatment, including medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic interventions, to children and adolescents with mental health disorders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure holistic and coordinated care for patients.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients through regular follow-up appointments and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and strategies for coping and managing symptoms.
Requirements
  • License from the VA State Board of Medicine.
  • Drug Enforcement Administration license to prescribe controlled substances.
  • Completion of an approved residency in General Psychiatry.
  • Experience with diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and individual and family therapy.
  • Board certification or Board eligible in Child Psychiatry.

Location

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $250,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on experience, to compensate for the high level of expertise required for this role. The salary is based on industry standards and reflects the complexity of the position.
