Overview

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Data Administrator to join our team. As a member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in supporting the eBusiness Suite production, test, and development environments.

Job Description

In this exciting opportunity, you will have the chance to work closely with our eBusiness Functional Analysts to provide consultation and recommendations for upgrades, backup, recovery, and technical issues. Your expertise in Oracle databases, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and UNIX environments will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.

You will also be responsible for working with our Department's Information Security Officer (ISO) and management to establish policy and procedures for security policies. Additionally, you will monitor and optimize the performance of our systems and databases, identify and resolve problems, and work with our development team to provide support of the SQL Server relational database environment.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have considerable knowledge of and experience with Oracle Databases, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and UNIX environments. You should also have experience working independently to review Oracle notes and work with Oracle support. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience, as well as an excellent benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid leave, and wellness program.
