Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct home visits to assess the safety of children and the risk of abuse, using your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with families and build trust.
  • Investigate allegations of child abuse and neglect, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive support to families and connect them with necessary resources.
  • Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal regulations and laws related to child welfare, ensuring that you are always knowledgeable and compliant.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in social work or a related field is preferred, but not required. A bachelor's degree in social work or another human services field, combined with one year of work experience, may also be acceptable.
  • Experience in public child welfare, preferably Child Protective Services, is highly desirable.
  • You must have a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of children and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Benefits

This part-time position offers a salary range of $59,452.00 to $69,855.00 per year, depending on experience. We also provide a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off. Additionally, this role is part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives based on performance, qualifications, and experience.
