Job Summary

Are you a seasoned professional with experience in child and family serving programs? We are seeking an exceptional individual to serve as the Family Services Program Manager for the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of family services programs, ensuring seamless delivery of services and promoting system change and process improvements.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, time management, oral/written communication, interpersonal, public relations, and supervisory skills. They will also have knowledge and ability to apply social work principles and Virginia policies in family services programs, as well as exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills during crisis situations.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Family Services Program Manager will be responsible for managing aspects of program development, process improvements, quality assurance, and staff development for Family Services programs. This includes collaborating with front-line supervisors to ensure seamless delivery of services, ongoing cross-team communication, and promoting strategies for consistent performance expectations. The successful candidate will also engage in the evaluation of program processes, effectiveness, and quality of service delivery, track and monitor outcomes using strengths-based, trauma-informed, and proven quality assurance methods, collect and analyze data to guide program evaluation and process improvements, compile, interpret, and disseminate program data and information, provide ongoing education and training to supervisors and staff regarding best practice changes, collaborate with internal and external partners in the best interest of the agency and citizens, work collaboratively with supervisors and staff to establish performance measures and processes for consistent performance evaluation, promote the department's vision, mission, and model the agency's leadership philosophy in all aspects of service delivery, review and evaluate service effectiveness using data and various program evaluation methods, respond to and prepare reports, serve as an active participant on the Family Services leadership team and the agency-wide leadership team, apply knowledge of Virginia policies in children's services and other applicable programs, and assist in budget preparation.

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess a Master's degree in Social Work and two years of experience in child and family serving programs. One year of experience as a supervisor or an equivalent combination of training and experience is also required. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have child welfare experience in Virginia public social services, experience compiling reports, correspondence, data, and narrative of case management and grant proposals, and knowledge of trauma-informed practices. Computer competency is also essential, with proficiency in OASIS and Safe Measures being preferred. The salary range for this position is approximately $80,815 to $94,958 per year, based on the location and job requirements.
