We are looking for a highly skilled Helpdesk Engineer to join our team at The Francis Crick Institute. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary starting from £30,000.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first and second-line support to over 3,000 users across various operating systems. They will work on a shift pattern of 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday, in the ITO Helpdesk team, providing a single point of contact service for all employees and commercial partners.

The ideal candidate should have experience working on a busy IT helpdesk, supporting a predominantly Mac environment. A proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service, both in person and virtually, is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing first and second-line IT support to users
  • Working on a shift pattern of 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday
  • Resolving technical issues and queries received via various channels
Requirements
  • Experience working on a busy IT helpdesk
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3/v4 and CompTia A+ qualifications or equivalent
